Virgin Mobile PAC Code
You will need to contact your current mobile phone provider and request a PAC code. This will usually take approximately 2-3 days to arrive. When you have been given the PAC code, click here to view the very latest online products and special packages from Virgin Mobile. When you have found the best package for you Virgin Mobile, whilst ordering your new phone, enter your PAC code when requested into the appropriate area on the ordering form. Virgin Mobile will then give you with a provisional number to use until your current number is transferred over, which could take a few days.
Please note - Until you have been given your PAC Code without charge, and you have given this to your new mobile network, Virgin Mobile do not cancel your current contract. If you terminate your contract before this, then your new service supplier, may be unable to transfer your number across and you may also incur a connection fee.
Virgin Mobile PAC Code Request
Switching From Virgin Mobile
Primarily, consumers wanting to switch from Virgin Mobile should contact Virgin Mobile on 0845 6000 789 (or 789 from your mobile phone) and place a Virgin Mobile PAC Code request. From here, Virgin Mobile will provide consumers with their PAC code either via telephone or in the post (delivery should be within two working days). Once the PAC Code has arrived, consumers will need to give this to their new service provider. This will ensure consumers can change their network whilst keeping their number.
When consumers have obtained their Virgin Mobile PAC Code, they are now free to find the best mobile phone deals for their needs. Consumers can order new deals online, where at some point they will need their PAC Code. Some of the best online bundles can only be found when shopping online, so consumers should bear this in mind when searching.
The whole process takes seven working days, after which consumers will find that their existing SIM will no longer work. However, a new SIM will be provided by consumers new network provider.
Note- Consumers should not terminate their current agreement with their network (ie Virgin Mobile) until they are given their Virgin Mobile PAC for free and this has been passed onto their new network. Consumers may find that there is a charge or that they are unable to transfer their current mobile number if their contract is cancelled before their PAC Code is received.
Consumers will be unable to 'port' their number if they are to stay with their current network provider. Instead an upgrade should be available.
If consumers have not completed their existing contract, they will be unable to 'port' their number. To find out whether they have completed their contracts, consumers should check their contracts.
Consumers have the right to keep their mobile phone number using a PAC Code, and have the right to have this delivered to them for free within 5 working days. Some networks may even provide you with your Virgin Mobile PAC Code request within 2 working days, however this depends on the network and their terms and conditions.
Before requesting your PAC code, consumers should have done their research on mobile phones in order to know which network they would like to move to and the mobile phone package they would prefer. This is a simple step to take as your Virgin Mobile PAC Code is only valid for thirty working days. After this time, your Virgin Mobile PAC will cease to work and you may be unable to request another PAC Code for a while. As well as this it only makes sense to have your new plan ready so you can act as quickly as possible.
When deciding on a mobile package, understand what your requirements are- whether you want to text more or make phone calls more, this is an important factor in determining what you want from a mobile phone deal. Consumers should research both online and off in order to establish the deal most compatible with their requirements.
